Description

Shri Anunay Anand, IAS belongs to the 2023 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and is allotted to the Manipur Cadre. He is a native of Muzaffarpur district in Bihar.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee before joining the civil services.

Since joining the IAS, he has served in various field assignments across Manipur. He began his career as Assistant Commissioner, Kakching, and later served as Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Chandel and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Churachandpur, where he was closely involved in public administration, development initiatives, and the implementation of government programmes.

He is currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner (District Magistrate) of Pherzawl District, where he is committed to strengthening governance, improving public service delivery, and promoting inclusive development in one of Manipur’s most remote districts.
